«Solo show», 2018

For the public space stretching from Museum Tinguely to Kaserne Basel, Valado and Guay develop a custom-made mobile structure that emerges from the Rhine and crawls up the bank. From this vantage point, the imagination of the onlooker is roused to encompass the surrounding institutions, the role of the audience, and the role of the artists as «non-real performers». The overall intention this mobile structure is to sustain the collective action of the ensemble as it wings its way towards a hitherto unknown destination.
