For the performance Lauter beste Schlusssätze, Jeanne Jacob and Cornelia Nater sit at a garden table sporting Nine Men’s Morris on itssurface and drink tea. The title of the performance (which means as much as “So Many Last Words”) refers to the pointed nature of their conversation, in which they pose questions to the audience and themselves: what is being acted out here? Who’s winning, who’s losing? The conversation touches on playing for playing’s sake, the symbiotic relationship between mushrooms and trees, encounters at the kitchen table, and the art of walking on wheels. Electronic sounds, samples of audio recordings, and videos accompanythe text, combining the different narrative threads in a dense multimedia collage.
