The Ott Orchestra assembles for the Performance Award as an open ensemble—not a concert in the traditional sense, but a situational musical intervention in which space, audience, furniture, bodies, and sound together form a provisional orchestra. It brings together not only musicians but also dancers, writers, fictional characters, a snake, and a wood sculptor. There is no fixed score; structure arises in the moment through misunderstandings, apologies, remarks, reactions, and resonance.

Listening becomes a form of active participation, transforming the situation into a fleeting exhibition space. Within the orchestra, improvisation is understood as a system balancing order and disorder, grounded in trust, risk, mutual attention, and, above all, listening. The orchestra is a field of possibilities—an open, ecological process of collective presence that continually shifts and reflects on its own conditions.
