Nominees 2019

«SHIFT THE MANIFESTO», 2019

Thought and action are expressed in a spatial installation, where songs, body poems, sound and choreographic speech intertwine in moving performances. The 1998 feminist pamphlet «The First Manifesto of Great and Respected Women Artists» is revisitedas a discursive and poetic round dance to find out if its original 17 pronouncements are still explosive and valid today. How have values around art, money and power affected women and how has this changed? The artists understand their collective aesthetic practice as the foundation for «flash insights and quantum leaps».
